“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.” —Mark 9:37
Adoption is at the heart of the gospel. We were all once spiritual orphans—lost and separated from God—but in His mercy, He rescued us and made us His children.
Across Ohio, thousands of children are waiting for safety, stability, and someone to call family. Compelled by the love we’ve received, we step into their stories offering hope, belonging, and care. Because every child needs OneHome.
New Life’s OneHome Ministry focuses on building stable homes through foster care, adoption, and family preservation.
The Power of OneHome
OneHome Can Make a Difference
Every home is called to respond, and every home has an impact. We may not all be called to foster or adopt, but we can all do something to help children and families experience safety, stability, and belonging.
OneHome Shouldn’t Do It Alone
Welcoming a child and supporting a family requires more than one person or household. OneHome Teams come together to support families and share the load.
We recently saw this happen through a short-term hosting. A host family said yes to opening their home. A coach said yes to walking alongside both the host family and the child’s mom. HomeSupport volunteers said yes to providing babysitting and practical help.
Each person played a different part, but together they helped care for a child and support a family moving toward greater stability.
OneHome Focus
New Life’s OneHome Ministry focuses on three key areas:
Prevention
Partnering with My Village Ministries, we come alongside at-risk families to provide support and stability before children ever enter the foster system.
Fostering
Working with the State of Ohio, we equip and support Christ-centered families who provide safe, temporary homes for children in crisis.
Adoption
We equip and encourage families within our church to welcome children into loving, Jesus-centered homes.
OneHome Teams
OneHome Teams equip families, care for children in crisis, and create belonging.
This mission belongs to all of us. Whether you foster, give, mentor, provide respite, pray, or encourage, everyone has a role to play.
HomeReceive Team
HomeReceive families welcome a child or children to live in their home, whether for a short-term hosting, long-term foster placement, adoption, or respite care.
HomeSupport Team
HomeSupport volunteers provide meals, transportation, childcare, and other wrap-around support for families hosting children. These practical acts of care help families continue saying yes without carrying the responsibility alone.
HomeResource Team
HomeResource helps meet practical needs by connecting children and families with donated items and other helpful resources. This team helps ensure that HomeReceive families and the children in their care have what they need during hosting, fostering, adoption, respite, or family preservation.
Coaching, Mentoring, and Encouragement
Coaches and mentors walk alongside children, parents, and HomeReceive families. They provide encouragement, help families navigate challenges, connect them with resources, and remind them that they are not alone.
Prayer and Giving
Prayer and generosity are essential parts of OneHome. You can pray for vulnerable children, parents, foster and adoptive families, caseworkers, coaches, and volunteers. You can also give to help OneHome provide practical care and ongoing support.
Find YOUR Place in OneHome
You don’t need to know exactly where you fit before responding. Let us know you’re interested, and someone from the OneHome team will help you explore the opportunities and find a meaningful way to serve.
