New Life Church Soccer Club was started in 2005 when a new lifer from Costa Rica made connections with members of the surrounding latino community. Founders and attendees have come and gone over the years, but the club is still going strong, averaging around 30 young men each Monday night in the New Life auditorium. Still a predominantly Hispanic crowd, the ministry has had players from more than 30 countries and nationalities. A full-blown sharing of the Gospel happens intermittently throughout the year, including at tournaments attended by 50 or more people, combined with a brief prayer each week.
