Gaining Influence with our Teen and Adult Children
Tuesday, January 23, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
5 Tuesday nights, January 16 to Feb 13, 7:00 – 8:30 (week #1 will last until 9:00.)
This 5 session class is for Parents who want to join their kids where they are without compromising their beliefs. Guest trainer Dr. Letetia Villalobos will help parents who feel they were never really prepared to effectively raise children in today's culture. It will offer support, skills, and tools to help maintain or regain healthy attachments and influence with our kids.
Cost is $10 per family (couple or individual). Register at enewlife.com.
Skills you will learn:
· Joining your kids where they are without compromising your beliefs.
· Active listening for the purpose of understanding without judgment and criticism
· Development of empathy
As parents learn and practice these skills, older children begin to find their parents to be a safe place to share their feelings and struggles. Healthy attachment can form over time through repeated practice and parents can regain a place of influence in their children’s lives.
This class is very helpful for parents of late teens or adults who are considering or have embraced an LGBTQ+ identity.
