Racial Reconciliation 2.0: Using the language of biblical lament to bring about racial reconciliation in the church

Teachers: Fred Donelson, Mark and YaVonda Ulfig

Reference textbook:  Weep With Me: How Lament opens a Door for Racial Reconciliation  by Mark Vroegop. (You do not need to purchase the book to take the class, but it is available on Amazon if you would like to read it.)

Join us for our 2nd class on racial reconciliation as we learn the steps of biblical lament (turning, complaining, asking, and trusting) and how to use them to learn how to approach difficult questions and how to ask and respond to them in a sensitive way.

We will also learn how lament leads to establishing new relationships, speaking up when racially insensitive comments are made, practicing intentional hospitality, or sharing your pain from racial injustice. In other words, learning to use lament to lead us to action.

Saturday class will include an option to participate in our church’s first “Civil Rights Vision Trip” to a location in Columbus. Join us for an exciting two days with like-minded brothers and sisters in the Lord.

The class is free, but please register at enewlife.com so we know how many to plan for.
