Remember when gas was under $1 a gallon?
Feels like a lifetime ago… because it kind of was.

Even something as simple as pizza night has changed. Add gluten-free options, and suddenly a small pizza costs more than it should. And don’t get me started on streaming subscriptions—how many do we actually need?

But let’s be honest…
These are easy problems to have. 

Because around the world, there are children who don’t have consistent access to food, healthcare, or education—let alone an environment where they can hear about Jesus.

But we can do something about that.

For years, New Life has partnered with Africa Renewal Ministries to invest in a village in Uganda called Mukono. And this isn’t temporary help—it’s generational impact. 

Through sponsorship, every child receives:

* Healthcare
* Education
* And most importantly… ongoing Gospel-centered discipleship 

Samantha and I have had the privilege of sponsoring a child named Patrick. Even from across the world, we’ve watched him grow—not just physically, but in his understanding of who he is in Christ.

And this isn’t just our story. It’s our church’s story

One New Life family faithfully sponsored a child named Frank for over 12 years—walking with him from childhood all the way through university. At one point, another family joined in to help him finish strong.

Here’s what they shared:

“It was exciting to see Frank grow up in each photo… and humbling to read the prayers he wrote for me and my kids. Sponsoring Frank catalyzed meaningful gospel connections for my own children because they started to glimpse that they could be a part of the important work of spreading Jesus's love around the world.”

“I joined in sponsoring Frank about four years ago. Watching him grow and graduate has been incredible. Even now, we still stay in touch—he’s become a great young man and he continues to be a Christ centered example in his community.”

And here’s what Frank wrote after graduating in 2025:

“I wanted to express my deepest gratitude… Thank you for loving me and caring for me and my family. I couldn't have done it without your kindness and generosity. Your sponsorship has been instrumental in my success… I love you my beautiful family. May God richly bless you with a good measure.”

This is what happens when the Church shows up. 

The children of Mukono aren’t just being helped—they’re being raised up as the next generation of leaders who will point others to Christ.
