  • NEW YEAR - New opportunities! Plan a group event to use to invite non-believers. A SUPERBOWL PARTY is always a good idea!!!

WORD (25 minutes)

  1. Read John 10:1-11 and James 1:22-25 out loud together. In your own words, what was the main point of the sermon?
  2. Where do you relate most right now: unplugged from God, plugged into the wrong input, or overwhelmed by too many inputs?
  3. Jesus says His sheep hear His voice and won’t follow a stranger (John 10:3–5). What are some “stranger/thief voices” that sound reasonable but pull you away from Jesus over time? The sermon described subtle “voices” like: “Just push through,” “Keep it together,” “Don’t get your hopes up,” “You’re behind,” “You deserve a little escape.” Which one shows up most in your head lately?
  4. Have everyone write (or review) their top 3 “inputs” that shape them most right now. Examples: news/outrage, social media, anxious inner narrator, comparison, performance, comfort/escape, sports, podcasts, politics, Google/AI, relationships, work pressure, entertainment.
  5. Then discuss: Which of your three inputs most shapes your mood? Which one most affects your spiritual hunger (for better or worse)? What’s one specific change you can make this week to reduce the noise from one of them?

 WORKS (25 minutes)
