New Life Church

We have a little saying here at New Life that just about sums up the purpose of our Missions & Outreach Department:  We Need God, We Need Others, Others need Us.  Whether it is collecting school supplies for needy children, serving a meal to the homeless of the inner-city, or taking a medical team to India, the people of New Life are known for their generosity and love for others, both inside and outside our church.

About twice a year we gather everyone together for Servefest, a day of service to our community. We send hundreds of people to paint, plant, repair, rehab, feed meals to the needy - all to share God's love through simple acts of service.

Throughout the year we send church members to minister to those in need, be that in prison, the inner city, international students at OSU, or around the world.  We also are active serving in our community - like working with the poor or rehabbing homes in Franklinton.  We regularly send people on short-term mission trips.  We have sent at least 5 teams to do hurricane relief in the Gulf Coast region and other relief trips to Iowa and Northern Ohio flood zones. We also send teams to offer medical care to the poor in India and Thailand, we provide English camps in SE Asia, and minister in many ways in France, Haiti. Costa Rica, Uganda, and other nations. Our priorities include orphan care, Bible training & discipleship, allieviating suffering, reaching out to people groups who do not yet have a Gospel witness in their nation, and work in the least reached areas of the world.

As you can see, while we DO care about the people INSIDE our church, our focus is also OUTWARD, to share God's love with the people of our community and our world. We welcome volunteers to come along side us and share the hope we find in Christ with those outside our walls. Whether your interest is adoption, caring for the poor, feeding those in need, going into the prisons, working with children, the elderly, or recent immigrants, we have a place for you to use your gifts for the kingdom.
